Charlie's Cake - melting away

Happy Birthday time....

Our little boy has just had his very 1st birthday (31/1/2010). We cant belive 12months has gone so quick, its kind of sad but also exciting as we love watching charlie grow more each day.

The day started off nice and early, as usual with charlie, so we decided to open his presents from us. He got a bike which you can take parts off when he gets the hang of things and it turns into a little bike, he also got a lawnmower that he can push around and it makes nosies and sings (very loud) lol. We then just cruised around at home most of the morning, watching charlie play and taking him for rides on his bike till his party started.

The day got very very hot (34degrees) it was gr8 but a little too hot, all the kids had red faces and looked like they where melting away as the heat was too much....! We had alot of food, maybe too much and alot was left over, the cake started to melt away and igglepiggles head fell off lol....!! We had a face painter and she was excellent, the kids looked gr8 with ther face-paints. We played a few games, pass-the-parcel, had a boys circle and a girls circle, then we did - hit the pinyada, very exciting for all the kids!

Charlie had alot of fun and cant wait to celebrate his next birthday!

Charlie is turning 1

We cant believe that our little Charlie will be having his first birthday in 12 more days! Where has the year gone! Spider and I are both very excited and cant wait for his special day. The last 12months has been the best for us, charlie coming into our lives couldn't be more happy. Its been hard, alot of tears, frustraing at times, getting the hang of being a new parent but worth every minute and tear.

A day at the gardens

These photos are a little delayed, sorry! On December 27th, we took a day trip to the botanical gardens for lunch and a play. The weather was gr8, fine, sunny and warm!! Charlie had a gr8 time exploring and crawling around, tho his not too sure of the grass at times, must feel funny on his feet. Spider didn't have much time off at christmas so we tried to do as much as we could together.

Our little boy has grown so much, cant belive he will be 1 in a few weeks :)

On boxing day we headed to the Salmon Ponds for the day! The weather was perfect, nice and warm. Spider and I hadn't been their before or 4 ages, so it was nice to go and explore! Charlie seemed to have a fun time but again was very tired and a little grumpy, but came good after a very long sleep. At one stage we where looking over at the fish and charlie decided to chuck his dummy to them, i almost had a fit LOL not sure why but we got it back thanks to spider putting his hand in the pond.

It was a gr8, fun day and also nice to spend it with Grandma for her birthday!
